Empty handler Driver
What will you do?
As an empty container driver, you ensure that the work gets done every day.
As our Empty Handler Driver, your main duties are:
- Loading and unloading containers coming in by ship or truck.
- Preparing containers for inspection, repair, cleaning, survey or barge.
- Adherence to strict safety guidelines and operational protocols.
If you have ambitions to grow within the company, we can help you achieve them. You can receive internal training to become a reach stacker driver.
Job requirements
- (V)MBO basic education level
- You have a good command of the Dutch language (you must be able to give and follow instructions via walkie-talkie).
- You have at least 1 year of experience as an empty handler driver.
- You are Physically able to lift and move heavy objects, climb equipment and work outdoors (including in the cold and rain)
- You are available for a minimum of 32 hours (4 days) per week.
- You have a valid Empty Handler certificate.
- You are Stress resistant under pressure.
- You work efficiently, closely and safely.
- You can work both independently and as part of a team.
- You have no objection to working shifts (morning and evening).
- You have your own transportation due to accessibility to the work location.

- Salary ranging from €2,900 to €3,400 gross per month on a full-time basis, depending on your experience.

- A rotating shift schedule from Monday to Friday, with early shifts from 6:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. and late shifts from 2:30 p.m. to 11:15 p.m., alternating weekly.
Who we are:
Located in Rotterdam's Botlek, CETEM specializes in the storage, inspection and repair of empty containers and reefers. On our premises we have extensive facilities, including two direct barge connections, ample storage capacity and our own workshop for technical inspections and repairs. With our practical approach and reliable service, we are a stable partner for container storage.
In the same area, we cooperate with three companies, each handling a different aspect of the logistics chain. RCC focuses on the sale, rental and modification of containers. RBC is a modern terminal for the storage and handling of loaded (tank) containers, including facilities for heating and customs inspections. RMI specializes in transporting liquid chemicals, food and feed by tank container, serving customers throughout Europe. By joining forces, we can offer customers a complete and efficient range of services, all at one location.
